Krishna is headlining the company’s annual Think Digital conference today and tomorrow after he replaced Ginni Rometty in early April. Today, he unveiled Watson AIOps, which brings AI to the hybrid cloud and automates IT infrastructure management while lowering costs. It will operate within a Red Hat-created OpenShift ecosystem alongside Box, Slack, and other partners, Information Age reports.
- In his first-ever keynote, Krishna stressed IBM's commitment to AI, saying it's the "only way to scale innovation, insight and expertise."
- He predicts every business will turn into an AI company, "not because they can, but because they must."
- Krishna told the WSJ that the pandemic will dramatically spur the adoption of hybrid cloud and AI to automate work across many industries.
- He estimates that AI adoption in the marketplace is only 4% complete.
