Amazon has extended its NFL streaming rights beyond Thursday Night Football and has reached a deal to broadcast at least one of the two new wildcard playoff games added to the schedule this season. The game will be played on Jan. 10 and will also be broadcast on CBS. The NFL expanded its playoffs this year. There will now be seven playoff teams in each conference, and six games instead of the traditional four on Wild Card Weekend.
- Amazon signed a multi-year streaming agreement with the NFL earlier this year to renew its partnership. Prime will carry all Thursday night games for the remainder of the season.
- This year, Prime is also adding the first-ever customized replay mode for viewers to use in real-time. Amazon's new X-Ray tool allows users to select and watch their own replays during the games.
- Prime Video and NFL Films will also produce a weekly slate of original content that will play on Twitch.
