A judge in New York dismissed a lawsuit filed against Amazon that alleged it failed to follow public health guidelines regarding COVID-19 workplace safety. The lawsuit was filed in June by four workers and was dismissed yesterday.

• The complaint concerning an Amazon facility in Staten Island was dismissed by a U.S. District judge, who deferred the case to the Labor Department's Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), saying it was out of his jurisdiction and area of expertise. 
• The workers have not yet made an application of grievance to OSHA, per the recommendation of the judge.
