Roger Federer beat Marin Cilic to win a record eighth Wimbledon Men's Final. For his 19th career Grand Slam title, tennis icon Federer prevailed over Cilic 6-3, 6-1, 6-4 in London on Sunday. Federer faced a Grand Slam drought for five years, but he came back with a win at the Australian Open this past January. Federer, at 35, is now the oldest man to win Wimbledon during the open era. His eighth Wimbledon title puts him beyond previous record holders Pete Sampras and William Renshaw, and one shy of Martina Navratilova's nine Women's Final titles. – CNN

Majority Leader Mitch McConnell announced Saturday night that the Senate will delay the upcoming health care vote, as Sen. John McCain recuperates from surgery. On Friday, McCain underwent surgery to remove a blood clot over his left eye, and McConnell said that the Senate would "defer consideration" of the bill, originally planned for this upcoming week, until McCain had recovered. McConnell had previously let it be known that he wanted to fast-track the health care bill and have it passed by the end of the week. There is no official word how long the current delay will last. – NYT

At the D23 Expo, Disney shed some new light on their upcoming "Star Wars Land" theme park expansions in California and Florida. The official name of the expansion project was revealed to be "Galaxy's Edge." In Florida, the attraction will feature an accompanying themed resort, where guests dressed as "galactic citizens" will walk past windows showing images of space and interact with familiar Star Wars characters. As previously rumored, guests of the resort will choose between the light or dark side of The Force as they enter. Uproxx calls the Florida resort "the Westworld for superfans of Star Wars." Both park expansions are set for 2019, with the Anaheim iteration opening first. – UPROXX

The UK is considering tougher sentences for perpetrators of acid attacks after Thursday's series of assaults. Home Secretary Amber Rudd suggested in a piece for The Sunday Times that acid attackers should be eligible for a life sentence penalty. Five men were hit with acid attacks on the streets of London over a 70-minute period on Thursday, and a 16-year-old boy has been charged in connection with the case. One of the victims suffered "life-changing facial injuries." The assaults are the latest in a recent string of acid attacks, where a corrosive liquid such as drain cleaner or ammonia is used as a weapon in robberies and violence. The National Police Chiefs' Council (NPCC) logged over 450 acid attacks in 2016. – CNN

Columbia University has reached an undisclosed settlement with a male ex-student who had been accused of rape. Paul Nungesser sued the university in 2015 for sexual discrimination, following a highly publicized accusation from fellow student Emma Sulkowicz, who said Nungesser raped her in 2012. Nungesser was investigated and cleared of all charges by police. Sulkowicz became known as "the mattress girl" soon after, when she began to haul a mattress with her around campus to protest the university's handling of her accusation. Nungesser argued in his lawsuit that Sulkowicz's behavior "defamed and humiliated him." – FOX

TALK BLOCK

On "State of the Union," Virginia Sen. Mark Warner, the top Democrat on the Senate Intelligence Committee, said he doubted that President Trump would not have been told about the meeting last year between some of the members of his campaign and a Russian lawyer. "Frankly, it's a little bit unbelievable that neither the son or the son-in-law ever shared that information with their dad, the candidate," Warner said. "We don't know because we don't know really what happened at the meeting. What we do know is Donald Trump Jr. did not tell the truth a variety of times." – CNN

Jay Sekulow, from President Trump's legal team, said on "Face the Nation" that President Trump knew of "no other meetings" with Russians, including the one between Donald Trump, Jr. and a Russian lawyer detailed by a recent release of emails. "The president has been very clear on that. He said he has had no meetings, was aware of no meetings with Russians, was not aware of this one until really right before it all broke. And that's what the president said. And in fact there's been no information to the contrary." – CBS

Sekulow also appeared on "Meet the Press," where he was grilled by host Chuck Todd on the same topic. "It looks like a pattern of trying to at least, if not total cover it up, at least mislead or deceive," Todd said. "How do you refer to something as a hoax when you have an email like this?," Todd pressed, referencing an email where Trump, Jr. replied "I love it" in response to the news that the Russian contact was offering information that would be damaging to Hillary Clinton's campaign. Sekulow insisted that there was nothing illegal to cover up, and that the information was controlled by Donald Trump, Jr., who released it as he saw fit. He added that he felt the blame for the current inquiries into President Trump's Russian connections can be traced back to FBI Director James Comey illegally leaking information about a conversation he had with the president. – NBC
