1. Google may deprecate FTP support for URLs in Chrome 82. In a proposal, Google engineers explain its FTP implementation leaves users vulnerable to attack as it provides no support for encrypted connections or proxies. As a result, users will no longer be able to download resources hosted on FTP servers in Chrome through FTP URLs. Chrome 82 is due for release sometime in early to mid-2020. - CHROME PLATFORM STATUS

2. The final release of Rails 6.0.0 is now available. This latest version introduces a number of new features, such as the Action Mailbox, which "routes incoming emails to controller-like mailboxes for processing in Rails." In addition, this new release makes it easier to connect to multiple databases simultaneously and requires Ruby 2.5.0+Other changes include parallel testing support, protection against DNS rebinding attacks, and more. 3. PHPStan 0.11.13 is now available. With this latest release, PHPStan now provides full support for PHP 7.4, which will likely be made generally available in Nov. 2019. Developers can currently use PHPStan 0.11.13 with beta 2 of PHP 7.4. - MEDIUM

4. Security researchers have found eight serious HTTP/2 flaws. These vulnerabilities leave websites exposed to Denial of Service (DoS) attacks, potentially forcing many offline. According to an advisory, some of these flaws are dangerous enough that "a single end-system could potentially cause havoc on multiple servers." - THE HACKER NEWS

5. Automattic has purchased the free WordPress plugin, Zero BS CRM. Although the plugin only has 1,000 active installs on WordPress.org, ex-Automattic executive John Maeda recommended it to the company after using it himself and becoming a fan. Reports indicate Automattic may also rename the plugin to Jetpack CRM, although that has not yet been confirmed. - YAHOO
