Repl.it Database
Repl.it now features a free key-value store built into every repl called Repl.it Database, making it possible to build a fully-featured app completely on the platform. To start working with the database – which requires no setup or configuration – developers just need to import one of Repl.it's packages for Python, Node.js, or Go.
More:
- Fork the example Python and Flask emoji app to check out how the new feature works.
- Although Repl.it only provides Repl.it Database clients for Python, Node.js, and Go, you can talk to Database with any language over HTTP, which you can learn more about in the documentation.
- Earlier this year, Repl.it also announced CLUI, a graphical command line described as "an easily extensible interface that blends GUIs and CLIs."

Moment.js, a lightweight JavaScript date library for parsing, validating, manipulating, and formatting dates, will no longer add any new features, capabilities, major changes, and more, stating that while the project is no longer "dead," the team now considers it "done." The team also encourages Moment.js not be used in new projects.
More:
- The team explains the project "was built for the previous era" of JavaScript, and notes Moment.js can causes issues as it increases the size of web app bundles.
- In addition to no longer adding new features, Moment. js will also not change Moment's API to be immutable, address tree shaking or bundle size issues, or fix bugs.
- However, the team will address critical security issues and release data updates for Moment-Timezone following IANA time zone database releases.
- Some alternatives to Moment.js the team recommends: Luxon, Day.js, date-fns, js-Joda.
