Version 7.0.0 of the npm CLI is now available. npm v7 will most likely ship with the release of Node.js v15 next week, but developers can start using this update now by running npm install -g npm@7.

Google announced the 8th Chrome Developer Summit, a conference where you can find about the latest tools and updates coming to Chrome, will take place virtually on Dec. 9-10. Although sessions and live chat will be open to all, seats for workshops, office hours, and other exclusive events will be limited to make them interactive and more personal, so request an invite here.

Cloudflare launched Cloudflare One, a network-as-a-service, zero trust solution designed to help businesses of all sizes secure and speed up their workforce's devices, applications, and entire network. The new platform enables businesses to simultaneously protect themselves against the likes of zero-day attacks while still working in a flexible and scalable way as distributed teams work from multiple devices and their own networks.

- The news comes after Cloudflare also recently launched Cloudflare Analytics, what it calls a "privacy-friendly" web analytics tool.
