Android has announced the release of the beta of Android for Cars App Library version 1.1. The latest version brings richer navigation, charging, and parking apps to Android Auto users.
- Andriod Auto apps that require Car App API level 2+ like map connectivity, vehicle's hardware data, multiple-length text, long message, and sign-in templates can now be used in cars with Android Auto 6.7+.
- Android is also completing its migration to Jetpack and will not be accepting submissions with a closed source library. It has also recommended migration to AndroidX library.
