Shopify CEO Tobias Lütke announced significant changes to the company's corporate leadership group. Chief product officer Craig Miller left the company on Friday after being there for nine years, with Lütke taking over his role
- The reason for Miller's departure and his next destination was not revealed. Miller took over as CPO in Feb. 2017 and served as chief marketing officer from 2011 to 2018.
- Harley Finklestein will transition from chief operating officer to president to oversee Shopify's growth and external affairs.
- Toby Shannan, who is currently the Chief Support Officer, will take over as COO from Finklestein and have chief talent officer Brittany Forsyth and chief legal officer Joe Frasca directly report him.
- Shopify announced in July its revenue had grown by 97% in Q2 2020 after it entered partnerships with Facebook and Walmart.
