Amazon said that third-party sellers generated revenue of more than $3.5b during Prime Day, up from $2b last year. Overall, Amazon is expected to have generated $7b in revenue from Prime Day, as third-party sellers account for 58% of the merchandise sold on the platform.

- Other companies including Walmart, Target, and Best Buy conducted online sales events to compete with Prime Day on Oct. 13-14.
