As part of its Google News Initiative, Google said it is launching a Journalism Emergency Relief Fund for small and medium-sized newsrooms, contributing anywhere between thousands to tens of thousands of dollars, depending upon their size. Newsrooms must apply by April 29 to be considered for funding.
