Calm and Headspace both hosted free live guided meditations on YouTube for World Meditation Day (May 21). Calm's head of mindfulness Tamara Levitt led a 15-minute breath and loving kindness practice – the app also published a French-language meditation with Sandrine Jourdren, and a Portuguese-language session with Andréa Perdigão. Headspace co-founder Andy Puddicombe led a breath meditation geared toward both beginners and those who meditate regularly. Before the session, he asked viewers to have a clear intention and think of a cherished loved one to hold in mind.
