Doctors gave Vince Murdock the clearance to resume his fighting career. The 29-year-old UFC featherweight successfully underwent brain surgery in Nov. 2019 for Moyamoya, a rare neurological condition he suffers from.
- Murdock was supposed to make his UFC debut in June 2019. He was unfortunately pulled off after the UFC declared him medically unfit to compete.
- In Sept. 2019, he was handed a 20-month suspension by USADA after he tested positive for GW1516, a banned substance. The sanction was subsequently reduced to 14-months after Murdock submitted documents stating that the substance was part of his treatment. He’s been eligible to compete since Sept. 6.
- Murdock is no longer part of the UFC roster but remains on the company’s call list. According to his manager, several opponent names are already lined up for him.
