MMA legend Bas Rutten is picking Justin Gaethje to pull off a huge upset against Khabib Nurmagomedov. Gaethje and Nurmagomedov will headline UFC 254 on Oct. 24, with the latter’s lightweight title on the line.
- Rutten is relying on Gaethje’s NCAA Division I wrestling credentials to cancel out Nurmagomedov’s unparalleled wrestling and grappling prowess. He is also counting on Gaethje to use his brutal low leg kicks and takedown defense.
- No one has so far been able to stop Nurmagomedov, as he holds an undefeated professional record of 28-0. Oddsmakers have him as the -250 betting favorite over the +195 underdog that is Gaethje.
- UFC 254 takes place on “Fight Island” in Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.
