Colby Covington defended U.S. President Donald Trump from critics responding to his positive test result. Covington posted his statement on Instagram, which he began by announcing that he is “COVID-free" after attending the first presidential debate last week.
- “Chaos” then called out “the slime in Hollywood and woke sports” for criticizing Trump when he tested positive. His issue was with people “wishing harm on a 74-year-old grandfather.”
- With his vocal support for the current administration, Covington developed a close personal relationship with Trump. He even received a congratulatory phone call from the White House after he defeated former UFC champion Tyron Woodley on Sept. 19.
