Undefeated champion Khabib Nurmagomedov plans to retire once he gets a 30-0 record. Currently with a 28-0 record, “The Eagle” will enter his 29th professional fight this Saturday at UFC 254 against Justin Gaethje.
- The 32-year-old Russian fighter likes the idea of possibly becoming the “Mayweather of MMA.” Khabib is the only active UFC champion and top-five fighter today who holds an undefeated record.
- Khabib’s father Abdulmanap also wants this exact scenario for his son. He also wanted that final fight to take place in Moscow. The elder Nurmagomedov unfortunately won’t get to see this achieved, as he passed away in July due to COVID-19 complications.
- Should Khabib get through Gaethje, he wants his final fight to be against retired legend Georges St-Pierre. But at the same time, he is also expecting “something special” from the UFC.
