Following a huge win on Saturday, Brian Ortega expects the possible rematch against Max Holloway to be “a lot different.” The two men first met in 2018, with then-champion Holloway winning via fifth-round TKO due to a doctor’s stoppage.
- During their first fight, Ortega heavily struggled during the stand-up exchanges. Known for his grappling skills, “T-City” simply had no answer to Holloway’s strikes and got completely dominated on the feet.
- On Saturday, a new and improved Ortega showed up to dominate “The Korean Zombie” Chan Sung Jung. It was his first fight since the Holloway loss.
- Holloway lost the UFC featherweight title to current champion Alexander Volkanovski last December. He failed to reclaim it in their rematch at UFC 251 in July.
