Heavyweight knockout artist Francis Ngannou expressed his frustration towards the UFC for keeping him inactive. “The Predator" is next in line to challenge current champion Stipe Miocic in a rematch.
- Ngannou had an active 2019, taking two fights. He’s only stepped inside the Octagon once in 2020 when he knocked out Jairzinho Rozenstruik inside 20 seconds at UFC 249 in May.
- Miocic will be out until March 2021, leaving Ngannou out of commission for the next five months. For him, that long lull is disconcerting.
- Given the current title contender landscape, Ngannou no longer has opponents left for him to face. Except for number four-ranked Derrick Lewis, he’s beaten everyone in the top five. And because Lewis is booked to face number two-ranked Curtis Blaydes in November, a rematch is unlikely at this point.
- Ngannou holds a professional record of 15-3. 11 of those victories ended by knockout. 8 of those KO wins happened in the first round.
