The UFC downplayed Mike Perry’s domestic violence accusation. “Platinum” Perry is facing said allegations from his ex-wife and his own mother.
- Last week, Perry’s former spouse Danielle Nickerson spoke in detail about the physical abuse she endured from the UFC welterweight in February. Shortly after, a 911 recording of Sabra Young reporting her son to authorities surfaced and made the rounds online.
- Before Nickerson went public, Perry denied the allegations but admitted he’d been in therapy for alcohol abuse and anger management.
- When asked about it during the UFC 254 press conference on Saturday, UFC president Dana White simply said, “I don’t know, I have no idea.”
- The UFC has been criticized for allegedly turning a blind eye to domestic violence. The company got a ton of flak when it signed former NFL player Greg Hardy two years ago. In 2014, Hardy was arrested on physical abuse allegations by his ex-girlfriend.
