Inside San Francisco (May 15th, 2019)

On Thursday expect rain showers, with a high/low of 57/52. On Friday, expect more rain, with a high/low of 60/52.

1. SF will spend $2.5 million per year on parking control officers for events at Chase Center. The future home of the Golden State Warriors (and events like Janet Jackson's "Rhythm Nation" anniversary show) is expected to be a hot spot for traffic, as it's built in an area already congested by its proximity to the freeway and Oracle Park. That's why the SFMTA says it is adding 20 PCOs to its ranks, all "focused on traffic control, parking and curb enforcement, and ensuring safe access to the area,” a spokesperson said. During any lulls in the action, they'll also be writing tickets for parking scofflaws -- and with parking meters set to raise rates to $7 per hour during activity in the coliseum, that fruit will likely hang low. - SF CHRONICLE

2. Outside Lands has released its daily lineups and will start selling single-day tickets on Thursday. According to a schedule card tweeted by the fest, Friday's biggest names will be Twenty One Pilots, blink-182, Lil Wayne and The Lumineers. On Saturday, the most popular acts include Childish Gambino, Flume, RL Grime, and Hozier. Sunday, expect Kygo, Anderson .Paak & the Free Nationals, Leon Bridges, Kacey Musgraves, and Paul Simon to end the event. Single day tickets for the show, which is planned at Golden Gate Park from August 9-11, will be available here starting at 10 a.m. on May 16. - SFIST

3. The Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum will soon be renamed Ring Central Coliseum. Belmont-based cloud communications company Ring Central (not to be confused with Nextdoor's favorite business, the Ring smart doorbell company) has agreed to pay $1 million a year for the naming rights to the home of the Oakland A's and Raiders. The contract, which is expected to be confirmed via a vote on Friday, will extend for three years, with an option to re-up for a fourth. It's the fifth corporate name for the stadium, which has also been known as Network Associates, McAfee, Overstock.com, and O.co. - SAN JOSE MERCURY NEWS

4. Ford GoBike's electric fleet will return to SF in June. The company had pulled its powered rides from city streets after problems with the conveyance's brakes were revealed in April. According to system spokesperson Julie Wood, the e-bikes the company brings back to SF's streets will be an entirely new model, with details on features to be released later. According to Wood, it was important to the company to act quickly, as almost half of the city's "GoBike fleet was removed when we took the e-bikes off the street." - STREETSBLOG SF
