1. School funding propositions highlight today’s special election for King County voters. An $805 million levy that would fund vitals such as teacher salaries, textbooks, and school security for 3 years is on the ballot. Other county-wide issues that will be up for vote are funding for local fire departments, and public utilities. – KIRO 7

2. The Seattle music scene made its mark on the Grammys by bringing home 6 awards on Sunday night. Led by singer-songwriter Brandi Carlile’s 3 victories, including Best American Album, the 61st edition of the awards also featured 2 wins from the Seattle Symphony and one from former Soundgarden front man Chris Cornell. Carlile’s performance of her hit song “The Joke” garnered praise on social media from the likes of actress Anna Kendrick, Washington governor Jay Inslee, and singer Sheryl Crow. – SEATTLE WEEKLY

3. Record snowfall continues to blanket Seattle. With 4 storms producing over 20 inches of snow, it’s the city’s largest accumulation on record for the month of February. The snowfall closed schools throughout the region and canceled Legislature hearings on Monday and Tuesday. More snow is expected to continue dumping on Seattle over the next few days. – CBS NEWS

4. The brother of Jeff Bezos’ mistress is the main suspect behind the incriminating nude photos of the Amazon CEO that leaked to the National Enquirer. A Daily Beast report claims that multiple sources identified LA talent scout Michael Sanchez as the person of interest. Bezos hired a private investigator to find out how the National Enquirer obtained the racy photos he sent to Lauren Sanchez. – NEW YORK POST

5. A 71-year-old man with dementia who went missing from Florida last week was found in Seattle. It’s unclear how George Martin-Trigona ended up here, but he expressed interest in vising the west coast. - CBS 12

6. A WalletHub survey revealed that Seattle is the second healthiest city in the US behind San Francisco. - PATCH

7. Unsung heroes: Seattle’s Navigation Team is a group of advocates who ensure the health and safety of the city’s homeless. City Council member Lisa Herbold wants to help them become as successful as possible by taking a look at the way they conduct services. - MY NORTHWEST

8. A woman was arrested in Capitol Hill on Sunday night after she tried to run over people who were having a snowball fight. Some people wouldn't know fun if it tried to hit them with a car. - KIRO 7

9. The Seattle Wine and Food Experience is headed into town for 4 indulgent days of pairings from local favorites. - SEATTLE MAGAZINE

10. Danger zone: Snowfall has resulted in over 3,000 vehicle crashes across Washington state. Seattle’s Department of Transportation has advised residents to avoid driving and to use public transportation if necessary. - KOMO NEWS
