Apple patched a range of security bugs in its operating systems with the release of iOS 14, iPadOS 14, watchOS 7.0, and tvOS 14.0. The bugs affected a range of components, such as AppleAVD, Assets, Icons, IDE Device Support, IOSurfaceAccelerator, Keyboard, Model I/O, Phone, Sandbox, Siri, and WebKit.

• iOS 14 also includes new privacy features, such as notifications when the camera and microphone are recording and when data is copied and pasted, the ability to deny applications access to location data, alerts when an application requests local network access, and information on an apps privacy practices.
• Apple also fixed WebKit security bugs in its Safari browser with the release of version 14.0.
• Xcode 12.0, the latest version of its app development platform, fixed a security flaw in IDE Device Support.
