Inside Security: How has the COVID-19 pandemic and the shift to remote work has affected a CISO's work?
Chuck Brooks: It has really made the CISO’s job more challenging and has enhanced the importance of their role. The urgent transition to a virtual work environment had to be conducted under a short time cycle. The responsibility of protecting a larger hacker attack surface where every employee became a satellite office was not an easy task.
