Helen Hunt will join the cast of Starz's new series based on the indie drama "Blindspotting." She'll play Rainey, the mother of Rafael Casal's character, Miles.

- Hunt recently starred in the BBC series "World on Fire" and the 2019 independent horror film "I See You."
- Starz announced the casting of a number of other "Blindspotting" actors this week, including Benjamin Earl Turner and several cast members from Showtime's "Shameless."
- The spin-off series will focus on Jasmine Cephas Jones' character Ashley from the film, who must deal with the unexpected incarceration of her long-time partner (Casal).
- Casal will also serve as showrunner on the series.
