Work on Season 2 of the Hulu comedy series "Woke" shut down for a third time following positive COVID-19 test results. "Woke" re-entered production on Monday, but on Wednesday, three additional crew members tested positive for COVID.
- Two of the three crew members who tested positive this week were in "Zone A," meaning they interacted with talent on set, including at times when they weren't wearing masks.
- "Woke" entered production in Atlanta in June; a previous report in Variety quoted an unnamed source calling the COVID protocols on set "less than stellar - and porous."
- Only 2 of 8 planned Season 2 episodes have been shot so far.
- "Woke" stars Lamorne Morris as a Black cartoonist whose life and work are impacted after a violent and troubling interaction with the police.
