1. President Trump has named Stephanie Grisham, the First Lady's communications director, and a longtime Trump aide, as the new White House press secretary. Grisham also will take up the position of White House communications director and will continue serving the FLOTUS in her new roles at the same time. She will replace Sarah Sanders when she steps down on June 28. - AL JAZEERA

2. Special Counsel Robert Mueller will testify publicly before two House committees on July 17. The news comes after the House Judiciary and House Intelligence committees issued Mueller with subpoenas to appear before Congress. In response, President Trump once again attacked the Mueller investigation, calling it a "witch hunt" and a "hoax" in an interview with Fox Business Network anchor Maria Bartiromo. - ABC NEWS

3. The House has passed a $4.5 billion bill to send humanitarian aid to migrants in detention centers on the Southern border in response to reports about poor conditionsHowever, the White House has already promised to veto this version if it's approved by the Senate. In an interview, Trump said he's unhappy with it because "there's no money for protection, it's like we're running hospitals over there." The bill's approval comes after acting head of U.S. Customs and Border Protection, John Sanders, also announced he will resign on July 5. Immigration and Customs Enforcement's acting head, Mark Morgan, will take his place. - NBC NEWS

4. The U.S. House of Representatives Oversight Committee voted to subpoena White House counselor Kellyanne Conway. The subpoena comes after Conway refused to attend a congressional hearing addressing allegations she violated the Hatch Act by making statements about political rivals and more. "Her conduct sent a false message to other federal employees that they need not abide by the Hatch Act, or that senior officials are above the law," Henry Kerner, head of the Office of Special Counsel, said. "I'm here to emphatically say that's not the case." - THE HILL

5. Trump's State Department chief of protocol, Sean Lawler, has been suspended indefinitely just ahead of the G-20 summit. An official says the Trump nominee is expected to submit his resignation after the summit is over. Lawler is currently under investigation over allegations of discrimination and harassment. Mary-Kate Fisher, the assistant chief of protocol, will attend the G-20 summit in his place. - USA TODAY

6. A federal judge gave congressional Democrats permission to collect financial records from Trump’s real estate company as evidence in their lawsuit against Trump. The lawsuit accuses the president of violating the emoluments clause of the U.S. Constitution with his private business dealings. Trump's lawyers had asked U.S. District Judge Emmet Sullivan to halt the case, but Sullivan refused. Sullivan told Democrats they can start collecting evidence from June 28 through September. - THE WASHINGTON POST
