Inside Venture Capital

Inside Venture Capital (Nov 1st, 2016)

Loyal readers of the LAUNCH Ticker,

A few months ago I asked the team to start a “funding roundup” feature in the LAUNCH Ticker. You’ve probably noticed the daily section in the Ticker and a Sunday roundup of startups that had recently raised money, along with some charts to analyze the trends.

Most of you love these funding roundups, based on clicks and feedback. Some of you find it’s a little overwhelming to get that much data.

Turns out there is much, much more for us to cover in the VC world, so we decided to spin out our cover into it’s own product: Inside Venture Capital.

This newsletter is highly valuable to me as an investor, as it gives me insight into the moves my colleagues and peers are making. As a founder, I find it valuable as I think about the trends that my companies need to be tapped into. And as a technology enthusiast, I find it simply fascinating and fun to read.

Here’s a bit more about how it works:

1. As a LAUNCH Ticker subscriber, we’ve added you to Inside Venture Capital for free. Last month, we were sending the Ticker 14 times per week. As part of this transition, we’re dropping the Ticker’s Sunday funding roundup as well as its Top 20 email – and Inside Venture Capital will be published 3 times per week.

2. The net change for you will be one extra email per week, and we’re working hard to make sure it’s well worth it.

If you want to continue getting the LAUNCH Ticker but are not interested in Inside Venture Capital (or vice-versa), you can simply unsubscribe.

Let me know what you think, and how we might build out Inside Venture Capital.

@Jason
