- AEye’s CEO Blair LaCorte predicted a total addressable market of $42B by 2030.
- The company said it expects to generate $4M in revenue in 2021 and a net loss of $59M. Its revenue will be boosted by the commercial production of its sensors in Q4’21, raising income to an annual $13M. As the market for LiDAR grows, it forecasts $175M in revenue by 2024, with losses eliminated by the second half of that year.
- The SPAC deluge for LiDAR companies began with Velodyne Lidar’s announcement last summer that it would merge with Graf Industrial Corp at a market value of $1.8B. Luminar, Aeva, Ouster, and Innoviz quickly followed suit.
