Intel revealed its new TrueVR camera system at the Intel Global Summit in Palm Springs, California. Intel is using Altia Systems’ PanaCast Live to capture sporting events in 3D. When Intel first launched TrueVR, the company used a system of camera pods with 12 cameras each, but with Altia's cameras, the company only needs to use six per pod. Each camera captures 13-megapixel images at 60fps and the video can be pieced together on the pod itself. — SPORTTECHIE

A team of Australia-based engineers launched a crowdfunding campaign for a new standing motion controller platform. The Alto100, developed by Visospace, is more compact and lets users lean in a direction rather than move in a direction. The Indiegogo campaign is more than halfway to its $7,500 funding goal. — ROADTOVR
