Oculus Studios is launching a VR tour of the Anne Frank House. The experience is 25 minutes long and shows users the secret annex that housed Frank and seven other people during the war. The VR tour is being released at a ceremony at the museum on June 12 to coincide with what would have been Frank's 89th birthday. — VENTUREBEAT

A new plugin is enabling mixed reality capture for Unreal Engine developers. Mixed reality capture is a way of recording or sharing a third-person view of a user in VR and it has been used for Super Bowl commercials and music videos. For years, only Unity developers have been able to add mixed reality capture support to their VR games and experiences, but now the UE 4.16+ Mixed Reality Plugin will enable Unreal Engine developers to support the feature. The plugin was created by HTC Vive developer Foo Hoang and is currently in beta. — VRSCOUT

Two years after Microsoft first announced that its Xbox One X console would eventually support VR titles, the console still doesn't have VR support. Microsoft's Project Scorpio became the Xbox One X, the most powerful console on the market, and was intended to include VR by 017. Microsoft's rival Sony is leading the market in console sales, in part because of the VR revenues from its PlayStation VR console. Microsoft made no mention of VR for the console at its E3 keynote. Xbox’s Corporate Vice President Mike Ybarra said that there are still challenges in bringing VR to the device and that the company is focusing on its Windows Mixed Reality technology. — TECHRADAR

Leap Motion is releasing a major update to its tracking technology. The California-based company specializes in software and hardware for 3D motion control. The upgraded tracking and developer tools are available today in beta. Three demo videos showcase the new features: Paint, where a pinching gesture and palette enable users to draw; Particles, allowing users to play with simulated particles; and Cat Explorer, which enables the dissection and study of a cartoon cat. Leap Motion says the update allows for more finger dexterity, higher fidelity tracking, and a smoother, more natural tracking motion. — ROADTOVR
